Billboard
The billboard advert which we have created is simple and bold. We have done in order to make it eye catching as well as to appeal to our target audiences. Within the advert we have also included social media links and a QR code; this is because the billboard does not contain large amounts of information and the links provided allow for more information to be found.
Magazine advert
Our magazine advert has been created in a similar style to the billboard advert. This has been done in order to create a sense of branding and connect the two products. The colours used are bold and make a statement, grabbing our audiences attention. We have also included a QR code and social media links, this has been done so that our audience can find out more information about the product if they wish to do so.
Video
The video advert created relates to both our target audiences as well as the retro genre. By casting both members of our primary and secondary audiences within the video, the advert appeals to and targets them. The retro theme has been shown through the costume of our 'younger' character and the choice of music. As well as this a sense of branding has been maintained through the fact the video shows the billboard poster at the end.
production materials in relation to codes and conventions
When planning and creating our adverts, we had to take into consideration the different codes and conventions in relation to the client requirements. One of these requirements was for the drink to taste of strawberry laces. We demonstrated this through the imagery of strawberries in our print adverts and the design of the can in the video advert. We did this as to ensure that the adverts we made were created in line with the brief. Another client requirement was for the drink to only be sold in cans. We showed this through having the product in our video advert and having images of a can in our print advert. We did this because we wanted to make it clear to our audience that is would be the packaging of our product. The next client requirements were the target audiences of those in their 30s and young people aged 13-18. The ages of our target audience were shown in the production phase of our adverts as well as through the casting and costume in the video advert. In the video advert the older character represents our secondary audience and is dressed in a suit, reflecting the NRS social grade. Our younger actor is dressed in casual retro clothes, reflecting his age and the genre of our product. The final client requirement was to include the Carter Drinks logo. We included this in all of the different form of our adverts to meet the brief.Audience feedback
We gathered audience feedback from both of our target audiences. We did this in order to gage an understanding as to how effective our adverts were and if they would buy the product.
